You don't even have to get wet to enjoy Oleron's shores in winter! Sand yachting is on a roll, and we're willing to bet that it's going to reconcile you with the ocean in winter. Covered up aboard your kite, let the wind take your nose to the wind for a breath of fresh air made in Oléron. Let's go for an invigorating ride on the endless stretches of sand in the south of the island... Breathe in, breathe out, and enjoy the freedom of the moment! Fun and accessible, it's a complete sport, suitable for young and old alike. Ready for take-off?
3. Longe côte
Here's an activity like no other! First introduced in 2005 on the coasts of northern France, longe côte is a gentle workout that combines aquatic walking and muscle strengthening. With the help of a paddle and your unfailing tenacity, you follow a coastal itinerary, in water between your navel and armpit. You don't need to be an experienced sportsman, alone or with others, longe côte is defined by its accessibility. And with 100 km of coastline on the island of Oleron, all you have to do is don your wetsuit, choose your spot and off you go. The icing on the cake? The beauty of the beaches and wild dunes in the periphery!
4. Stand-up paddle

The Stand-Up Paddle is the perfect solution for quick and easy exploration and adventure. With an inflatable board that can be carried anywhere, you're in control of your own little expedition through the marshes or along the coast. It's a great way to take in the sights and sounds of nature from the water. A wetsuit or windproof jacket, and you're all set for your SUP tour. If you're lucky, you'll catch a glimpse of herons, storks, grackles and egrets along the canals! The more daring can even take a dip along the way. Want to rent your own? Local specialists can advise you.
5. Body palms
If you're more of a freshwater sailor, discover the Body Palm for a rhythmic workout! The aim? Gently build up your lower body, first by exercising vertically with a flotation belt, then horizontally with mini-palms. All to music! Thanks to the resistance of the water, efforts are gently increased tenfold, for fast, effective results: a concentrate of benefits for the body. To finish your session in style, don't forget to make a detour to the wellness area: hammam, sauna and jacuzzi, the choice is yours.
