80th anniversary of the Liberation of the Ile d'Oléron

Description
This historic event of great importance for the Ile d'Oléron will be an opportunity to pay tribute to the heroes and events that forged the freedom of the people of Oléron. Local authorities and veterans will be present. Anyone wishing to honor this anniversary, a moment of remembrance and solidarity, will be most welcome.
The ceremony will begin with moments of meditation at various locations, at the following times:
- 10:45 a.m. Wreath-laying at the Bellevue site in Boyardville.
- 11:15 a.m. Wreath-laying, stele of those lost at sea, La Cotinière chapel.
- 11:30am wreath-laying, Capitaine Leclerc plaque, La Cotinière.
- 12:00 wreath-laying at the General De Gaulle stele, St Pierre d'Oléron town hall forecourt.
- 12.15pm review of troops, place Gambetta.
- 12:30 pm parade of military vehicles, from the square to rue de la libération
- 1 p.m. Wine reception hosted by the municipality, Place Gambetta forecourt.
