Conférence UTLMO : Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) : Ni femme, ni dieu, ni maître
Dates & opening times
Descriptif
Maurice Ravel is the victim of a curse: his name is attached to just one of his works: the Bolero. He deserves better!
Although not as prolific as his peers, Ravel, now considered by many to be France's greatest composer, left us much more than his famous 1928 ballet. He toured triumphantly throughout Europe, Scandinavia, England, the USA and even Canada - long before he wrote his Bolero.
Michèle Lhopiteau-Dorfeuille invites you to discover both the man Ravel - as original as he was endearing - and, in addition to his famous ballet, other equally extraordinary pieces for solo piano, for a capella choir, for orchestra and for piano and orchestra.
