UTLMO Conference: The relationship between coastline and forest
Dates & opening times
Description
In Oléron, the forest, the dunes and the coastline have always maintained a complex relationship of advances and retreats, punctuated by extreme weather events. Man has played a major role in these relationships, accompanying them. It is also a major living space for leisure activities, the economy and biodiversity.
Over the last twenty years or so, the sea has been advancing again, the dunes are retreating and the forest is suffering.
What role does climate change play in this new dynamic?
What are the prospects and risks for the current century?
How can we adapt to the new context?
