With a fleet of around 100 small-scale fishing boats, the fishing port of La Cotinière is ranked as the leading port in Charente-Maritime.

How to find the guide?
Opposite the "Comptoir de la Mer" store, turn left (pedestrian access only), follow the asphalt road past the traffic circle with the anchor. Ignore the "forbidden to the public" signs and go through the rising barrier. Continue to the foot of the stairs. Your guide, with badge, awaits you.
Where to park?
- Comptoir de la mer parking lot - No time restrictions off-season, then blue zone from June 15 to September 30 (2 hours free). Nearest parking lot for port visits (5-minute walk to meeting point).
- Quai René Delouteau parking lot (located next to the chapel, in place of the old fish auction). Paid parking from March 20 to November 11. Allow a 15-minute walk to reach the meeting point for tours.
- Free grassed parking lot
This parking lot is located at the corner of route des mourauds and rue du Colombier. Allow a 15-minute walk to reach the tour meeting point.
Please bring sun/rain clothing and accessories, and a bottle of water. Bicycles are not allowed in the port area. Bicycle parking is available on the left just before the lift gate leading down to the port.
Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash.
Reservations required at the Tourist Office.
No telephone reservations, no on-site ticketing.
