Ancienne gare de la Chevalerie
Dates & opening times
Descriptif
Once over the Ile d'Oléron bridge, the main road leads to the first traffic circle, where the little Chevalerie station unexpectedly appears.
At the turn of the century, the railroad put Saint-Denis, the northern terminus, two and a half hours from Saint-Trojan, the head of the line.
In fine weather, the station is open. Inside, you'll find photos from the train's heyday and benches.
The station can also be used as a stopover for walkers, ideally located at the crossroads of 2 cycle routes.
