Eglise Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption
Dates & opening times
Descriptif
This building dates from 1958. Its originality lies in the fact that its stones come from the "Iron Rock" carved out of the foreshore. The shale and limestone, the round local tiles and the campanile (bell tower) give the church a harmonious elegance in the typical Brennais architectural style.
Inside, note the magnificent pipe organ with electronic controls. The nave is highly original in that it has no pillars. A sober decoration and a beautiful wooden framework complete the church.
