Descriptif
Discover Château-d'Oléron and the surrounding marshes on a coastal tour that takes you to the heart of the dominant activity of an entire basin: oyster farming.
Depart from the port of Château d'Oléron with its "chalands" (flat-bottomed boats), then cross the small bridge towards the viaduct and take the pedestrian path along the coast, where you can admire oyster beds and maturing oyster beds, and through the "chenal d'ors" where numerous oyster huts are located.
At the foot of the viaduct, you can see the dolmen, a vestige of the first traces of life on the island.
