Responsible boating label

Nautisme Responsable Marennes-Oléron is a network of nautical activity providers committed to continuous improvement of their practices and reduction of their environmental impact.
These professionals are federated arounda collectively-constructedquality charter, which each member undertakes to respect. The charter includes 17 articles dealing with raising awareness, limiting impact, local life and activities within the network.

The Office de Tourisme de l'île d'Oléron et du bassin de Marennes is the network's coordinator, and is also responsible for auditing signatory structures to ensure compliance with the charter's articles.

In 2023, the network will have 21 members, representing a wide range of activities: surf schools and clubs, canoeing and kayaking, stand-up paddling, sailboat outings, nautical bases and coastal rescue. This approach is open to any nautical activity provider on the Ile d'Oléron and in the Marennes basin wishing to become involved.

Dialogue and consultation
A working group brings together all stakeholders twice a year: activity providers, the tourist office, environmental associations, local authorities, the marine nature park... These meetings enable stakeholders to exchange ideas directly, thus ensuring the sustainability of activities in a calm spirit.

Access to special services
Joining the network gives you access to free training courses (on biodiversity, local history, etc.), teaching aids, special events (regional meetings, participation in trade fairs)... In short, a special range of services.
